AskMD (mahandaniel.com) is run by Mahan and Daniel. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, who helps us run AskMD, and how you can download or delete your data. We do not sell your personal information.

What we collect

  • Your account details: email address, name, and sign-in information.
  • What you send AskMD: your messages, questions, and any screenshots you upload.
  • What AskMD remembers to give better advice: short notes about the people and situations you talk about (for example a name, how long you have been talking, and key events).
  • Payment status: whether you have a subscription or answer pack. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Usage information: which pages and features you use, when you visit, and basic device and browser details.

How we use it

  • To answer your questions and remember context between chats.
  • To run your account, subscriptions and answer packs.
  • To keep AskMD safe, fix problems, and prevent abuse.
  • To improve AskMD. The founders may read conversations in a private admin tool to check answer quality, and we use AI to group common questions. Access is limited to the founders.

Who helps us run AskMD

We share only what each service needs to do its job:

  • OpenAI — creates AskMD's answers. Your messages, screenshots and the notes AskMD remembers are sent to OpenAI to write each reply.
  • Supabase — stores your account, chats and saved notes, and handles sign-in.
  • Stripe — processes payments and subscriptions.
  • Vercel — hosts the website.
  • PostHog — product analytics (which features are used), so we know what to improve.
  • Sentry — error reports so we can fix bugs. It is set up not to include the content of your messages.

Your safety

AskMD is not a crisis service or a replacement for professional help. If a message suggests you may be in danger or thinking about harming yourself, AskMD will show crisis resources. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 (US and Canada) or your local emergency number.

Age

AskMD is only for people 18 and older.

Your choices

  • Download your data: go to Account → Your data → Download my data.
  • Delete your account: go to Account → Your data → Delete my account. This deletes your chats, saved notes, screenshot reads and credits, and cancels any subscription. Stripe keeps its own payment records as required by law, and copies may remain in our providers' backups for a limited time before they are cleared.
  • You can also email us to ask about, correct, or delete your information.
